Harran
Arabs set in Upper-Mesopotamia since ancient periods. The roman emperor Philipp the Arab (3rd century) belonged to a tribe issued of Harran.
Before converting to islam, the Arabs of Harran were Nestorian or Jacobit Christianis, or Sabeans. Sabeans worshipped planets and dated their history with the calendar of Babylon.
