In the aim of helping to resolve the Kurdish problem, our Party made a peace project during its Seventh Exatrordinary Congress in January. A process of peace in Turkey, on the basis of a democratic resolution of the Kurdish question, will instaure stability in Turkey and in the Middle-East. (...) Because they were victims for decades of pressions and constant negation, the Kurds had to face a risk of a national annihilation. (...) The armed struggle of the PKK began when there was no other alternative. (...) History proves that an a suitable solution to resolve the Kurdish question in the region necessites a political and democratic resolution without questionning the present borders. (...) To resolve by political ways the Kurdish question, our Parti had unilaterally stated its will, withdraw its armed forces out of the Turkish borders and sent, in that way, two peace groups in Turkey. (...) The Republic of Turkey had not yet done the necessary steps... Military operations against the Southern-Kurdistan, repression against Human’s Rights associations, prohibition of the entry of the Kurdish press in Kurdistan, the provocations of Turkish medias, show that until now, the Turkish state doesn’t want to make steps for the resolution of the Kurdish problem. (...) Every steps done to the way of the recognition of the national identity of the Kurdish people, who are foundator members of the Republic, the guarantee of the consitutionnal rights and of the free union of people, will make progress the social harmony. (...)A democratic and social reform of Justice, guaranteeing the freedom of thinking, of believes, expression and association is necessary.
We aim dialogue, peace and permanent relations with all the Kurdish political groups. (...) The countries members of European Union have too an important play for allowing a concrete peace between the Kurds and the Turkish state. With the agreement of the candidature of Turkey to the European Union, the Kurdish problem concerns now directly Europa. The entrance of Turkey in the European Union is linked to the resolution of the Kurdish problem. Then, Europa, Turkey and representatives of Kurds should work together and no parts should be keep away. This should be one of the conditions to the adhesion to the European Union. We wait for the support of each of you for the peace and the resolution of the Kurdish question. |
