Editorial of november 2002

"We are virgin of Horror as we are virgin of sensual delight.  How could I suspect a so such horror when I left place Clichy ? Who would have been able to foresee, before entering really the war, all that fills dirty, heroïc and idle men’s souls ? Now, I was taken in that general flight, toward murders in common, toward fire... It came from the depht and it was happened. In none of them, wasn’t there an order to stop immediately this abomination ? Nobody at the top told him that it was a mistake ? Abominable error ? Misdeal ? That they were wrong ? That it was manoeuvres for joking that we have wanted to do, and not murders! But no ! (...) Then no error ? That we were doing, shoting us each others like that, without even seeing each others, was not forbidden ! It was a kind of thing that we could do without deserving a good scolding. In a mess...

Sick of all these testimonies (too much disturbing ?) that nobody listen, of these constant pressures that Kurds don’t dare to reveal openly in Turkey as in Europe, of these politicians who are between the devil and the deep blue sea, undergoing threats from the Turkish side as from PKK.

Sick of that PKK has rather changed its name more than its methods and could still to impose its silence law without any trouble.

Sick of being unable to reassure all these Kurds in tears who ask if there is any chance that their relatives "mysteriously disappeared" among PKK/KADEK ranks would be still alive (let’s remind that sometimes they could’nt have express their own opinion about this engagement, especially concerning the youngers).

Sick of seeing that today, an ex-PKK is more in safety in a Turkish prison that in some European cities. That it is better for any opponent to surrender himself with authorities if he wants to have a regular trial with a lawyer, rather than to risk a summary execution at any moment.

Sick of these unwillingly PKK militants, who have to obey and who ask to us to change the situation (only that !), because they don’t know toward whom to turn for being listened without being denounced, of these young people who want to know if they have the right to think differently than Guardians of the "Cause’s" sermons !

Sick of that it is not politically correct to denounce all sorts of deals without being accused by "right-thinking people". If narcodeals for example was using in the past to support guerilla, what is its justicifation today since PKK has "officially" ceased fire ? And racket that is going on in Europe against the Kurds of the diaspora – who could not denounce it without reprisals – and even murders- what is its justification ?

Sick of that opponents in Europe have only the choice to be protected by mafia (illusory, they are the same !).

Sick of all these threats against members and relatives of OFK (in Europe and Turkey), while PKK, though registered in the UE list of terrorist organisations, is still running a prosperous business.

Sick of that PKK intervenes in its militants’ private relations (at any level), as in its obliged  "sympathizers"’s, and even in the life of those who had absolutely nothing to do with them.

Sick of that some people try to make us keep silent, that the less important of our contacts is immediately threatened, pushed toward the "right way”, if he pretends carelessly to meet us, obliging to see secretly some friend for avoiding to put them in danger.

Sick of that PKK is rather to howl about the respect of human’s righst without feeling itself as concerned by their apply and acting in spite of fundamental rights about which its claims alaways for Öcalan’s case. Sick of those who support it by interest, cowardness, ignorance, or simple stupidity.

Sick of seeing the Kurds in the South-East who find that the political situation is improving (but not the economical situation unfortunately), but that they have to face an increasing totalitarism from other Kurds (who pretend to defend them) comfortably sheltered in next countries or in Europe.

Sick of that in South-Eastern Turkey people starve to death, but it is more important to reveal the "dramatics" conditions of Öcalan’s detention, because the unfortunate man has no television (awfull, indeed, if we remember that he could dispose before of its own Channel TV for flooding hours and hours of propaganda), while some hundreds of prisonners could not be medically cured, even if they are deadly ill.

Sick of seeing that in shantytowns the situation is so such serious that people are ready to follow blindly any charismatic trickers. That mothers without support nor hopes in future learn to their kids to say Apo, before they could say mummy. That the first sign that some learn to them is the V of victory ! What kind of victory ?!?

Sick of the pro-PKK lobby, of "so-called specialists" of the Kurdish question, of journalists who reveal to know nothing about the question, but who have "a paper to make immediately", of those who prefer for their career to not fight the system... Sick of that the confusion between "to be serious" and "to take oneself seriously" is set even in people who were although educated engough for thinking by themselves.

Sick of these eternal "delegations" driven by the PKK and understanding neither Kurdish nor Turkish, then taking the « translations » of the Party for gospel truth and spred them as the Absolute Truth. Idem for the ones that go there for people lick their boots (and indeed they shine, normal, the best method for that is to spit on...).

Sick of these "égéries" and other so such French inventions que le milieu politico-associatif nous présente us as "models" for the Kurdish cause, à grand renfort de déclarations médiatiques qui ne sont destinées qu'à assurer leur propre pub : someone should warn them in Turkey ; people there pretend generally that everybody don’t care of those (it even get seriously on their nerves).

Sick of these so-called Human’s rigts activists using Kurds for showing their so-called « generosity » and their "kindness", and whose "noble" spirit is manipulated by some Kurds  "above suspicion" (a two piece suit is very efficient).

Sick of that even AFP takes a part of that general disinformation by pretending for example : "The small DEHAP party could have believed to its raising when the main pro-Kurdish movement, HADEP (Popular Party of Democracy) has self-dissolved and has joined DEHAP" (AFP 05/11/2002) ! In fact, "DEHAP" is en umbrella under that FOUR parties (HADEP, DEHAP, EMEP, SDP) were represented, HADEP is not the "popular party of democracy" but the "People’s democracy party" and it hasn’t self-dissolved : it is still waiting for that the Constitutionnal Court decide or not its closure (a file that is constantly and in priority re-opened, for months). Sick of that kind of "informations" (pêchées on ne sait où) play into the hands of those who try to make believe that there is only one pro-Kurdish party in Turkey and will be relieved by the closure of HADEP.

Sick to be unable to answer to Irakian Kurds or from Dersim (for example) when they say "Why PKK has a so-such good reputation in your country ? If you know all the nuisance they have done here..."

Sick of arbitrary power and totalitarism are guaranteed by those who they imagine they are in cover. 

Sick of constant trickies and other stupid attemps of PKK/KADEK, and of its good friends (who think probably that we don’t suspect them or that they are untouchable), for corrupting or compromise us.

Sick of this general hypocrisy that guarantees the system against most of the Kurds, but that pleases obviously "clear consciences"... and probably many interests.

Then,  all the same, here are some positive facts :

. obviously we trouble some people (meaning that information starts to be spred) ;

. we suppose that we are not alone if we consider the number of sites proposed by Google for a simple seeking by key-word (and just in French) ;

. visits of the site increases constantly (more than 15.000 pages seen in October) ;

. PKK, beeing back on its time, might remeber that are the Kurdish values, and in the same way, might understand that it is not the "Kurdish people" and at last, that representing is not imposing (indeed, we are obstinated utopists) ;

. PKK/KADEK undergoes itself manipulations and pressures : they could ever change their direction ;

. the first declarations of AKP (for wich have voted many Kurdes) are encouraging : if it goes on like that, we have to convert ! Moderately of course... as our moderate welcoming to the beaujolais, promise !
