Editorial of february 2001 "Mothers should prescribe its reading to their dauhtgers." – Philosophy in boudoir, Sade. Some leaders are disappointed ! We talk about these who have based their power on women... Lately, some thwarted feelings begin to appear. In Libya, Muammar al-Kadhafi constates the success of the hijeb – or islamic veil if you want- among his female citizens, though it has almost completely disappeared thirty years ago. Then, he moans about women’s reluctance to use their right of self-expression : «Your education is a waste of time ! You are real puppets !» (1). Poor man, we should excuse him : He dressed so much against the corrupted bigotry of Emirates and Old Timer’s islam, he, trust so much his troops of women, his female bodyguards... And now, it is the turn to Abdullah Öcalan. We feel that he is too quite angry : "the Kurdish women s’ bodies are dead, malodorous, cold and clumsy . Their souls are dull and they have none intellectuel ability" ; "Give freedom to a woman and she would like to be slave (...) In our people, a woman can not go away from man’ s shadow. How could we share freedom with a so dependant person?"(2). At the end, in spite of many attempts to liberate Kurdish women, he must constate his fail and becomes (back) lucid. At first, it did not sound like a bad
strategy. It had just to convince
them of their familial and social subjection, and offering them to
liberate with the help of a beloved leader, who was able to understand
them, who had chosen them amongst every men. For liberating
yourselves from men, let dedicate yourselves to one man, unconditionnaly,
absolutely, willingly ! These troops of militantes, a docile, frantic
and fanatical mass, (masses are always like that indeed) offered the
advantage to have no ability to form dangerous opposition. Even in the
case of a woman’s opposition, which sultan’s mitress had ever make
plot for taking his place ? Then neutralizing men, - these possible
opponents but who never have had really any chance -, could be enough,
because it would be not only a fight against one man but many millions
of women. For a harem, even with reasonable numbers, should be submitted,
or at the contrary, it emasculate you. Some millions of unconditionnal,
fanatic women, all gathered around an ideal Father-Lover
But the wind is turning and "libérators" are unhappy. Not because women appear at the end like rebel, reliable, or tooken by a suspicious ideology. Alas, no such a risk ! It is all the contrary, at least in the last statements of these two political personnalities, who have never be suspected to be seduces by freedoms of thinking. But enough is enough, female militants should not have a total lobotomy, they need a minimum, just for replacing their male collegues, who will be never reliable. But if there is one thing against even the greatest men fail, it is women’s submission. So, could we ask to women to liberate themselves ? To emancipate themselves and their daughters ? To allow themselves to live ? To support each other and stop to make internal war for one man ? To built a world where exchanges between the both sexes would not be a gage of power and death, a debt of war, a way to be in debt with relatives, society and its dogmas, but an alternative to death, a liberation, an individualisation of bodies that could become subjects of pleasure and no more a "cold", "clumsy" and reproductive mass ? It appears like difficult. If a woman wants to liberate herself, she has to face all her life a furious and constant opposition from other women : "Who does she think she is ?". Too bad for the one who pretends to get out her condition : the slightest attempt to escape from her rank will be repressed strongly by her "sisters" who find many (unconscious ?) advantages to their condition of "victims". Then, to the question : "What do you think of Öcalan’s talkings about women ?", if we except a : "Ignominous !" (3), we had just collected furious or quite hysteric (4) assertions as : "He has NEVER written that !" ; "He has ALWAYS wanted to liberate women..."(5) ; "It is an International Plot (of course...) and by repeating these (or his ?) words, you insult the Kurds’ honour !" ??? The most violent reaction came from an "ex"-PKK who has publically attacked and threatened us (but far from the protection of the Party, it was just verbal attacks, because courage is not temerity), and angrily concluded: "The Kurds don’t need Europeans, go and take care of Africans !"(6). Do you still doubt of that ? Let’s just watch "traditional" and even modern societies : It is mainly women who lock up girls, mothers-in-law who persecute wives, mothers who lead their daughters to excision and make sons be served by their sisters. As sex, reproduction, these are ways to keep men in their part of macho-cash desk, and they are used for making soldiers, canon fodder for the dictators whom female gender pretends to sacrify everything and every one. Go to Kurdistan, Turkey, Palestine, Israël, look at dead’s pictures that have been exhibited everywhere, that « Martyrs’ mothers » hold on in any occasion and try to wonder why the wives are almost never exhibited like that, and why it is mothers who take possession of the Son ‘s cult. We have to admit it : a woman who did not enjoy to be a woman will rarely allow to her daughter to delight in. Then, today, trapped in their own traps, "dictators" tell :"Women, one more try, if you want to be Republicans..." Sandrine Alexie & Roxane
With all
that, we have almost forgot : !
(1) National Geographic, November 2000 (2) "How to live" written in 1996 and published in Turkey on last December (from : AFP) (3) Phew ! (4) Fromm the Greek « hustera », as explains "Le Petit Larousse" that we can not really accused to be a part from the "International Plot" ! (5) So why do they complain ? Since all the time and with his quite absolute power, is it possible that Öcalan did not success ? (6) She has short memory, for herself as for her God ! Let wish for Öcalan that the European Court of Human’s Rights don’t share her opinion... |
